Diatomite is a non-metallic mineral with many uses,which has unique surface and perfect absorption capability.It has been widely applied in industrial manufacture,but its usage as environmental mineral material in wastewater treatment has preliminari1y been researched.The paper presented the basic properties of diatomite,reviewed its use in wastewater treatment,and analyzed the future development treant of diatomite in wastewater treatment.
